We are passionate about furthering understanding and awareness of Pathological Demand Avoidene (PDA) autism profile. We want to equip those in our community with support information. We have accumulated many different resources and we are always adding to this list. We have created FREE printable handouts to aid in the understanding and advocacy of PDA.
PDA is not currently listed in the DSM-V and therefore is not a stand-alone diagnosis. It can be identified by a knowledgeable professional or self-identified.
PDA is not caused by poor parenting. It is a profile of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
There are many ways of supporting a PDA child. Implementing a Low Demand Lifestyle can be helpful in reducing overall anxiety.
To learn more about PDA you can connect with our bi-weekly PDA Support Chats. We also offer individual coaching sessions to support PDA. See our SUPPORT page to learn more.
If you email us we can do our best to recommend someone in your area that can assist in evaluating for PDA.
